Janet Khanlian called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
The minutes from the March meeting were approved with changes.
Steve Fink reported that the starting balance is $7,764.
He received additional ad revenue from Café Night of $45. Most of the expenses have been received for Café Night.

It was suggested that one way to boost advertising revenue was to offer incentives to the students to sell ads with prizes offered.
Joan Kindsfather reported the following on behalf of Ms. Burke.
Ms. Burke thanks all of the participants of Café Night.
The Spring Orchestra concert will be held on June 2.
Mr. Norris thanked everyone for their help with Café Night.
He noted that the band concert will be held on May 19 with the band performing some particularly challenging arrangements. He will be holding in school rehearsals to bring the whole band together in an effort to make the nighttime rehearsal easier for the kids that have other commitments.
Next dates to be aware of are the Memorial Day ceremony. The club agreed that refreshments should be provided and Carolyn Kramer agreed to arrange them with Sue Dowiak.
He also noted that the band will play at Graduation

Steve Fink reported that Senior Recognition Plaques were ordered from E & F Engraving. Price for 29 plaques is around $600 which is comparable to cost of past years.
Students that wish to purchase band jackets may do so.
The Café Night Chairpersons Mae Carbo and Lynne Japka thanked everyone for a fabulous night.
They suggested that if the event is produced next year that more volunteers are need to coordinate all of the aspects of the event.
They noted that this year the students were also served desserts as they waited to perform and that it was greatly appreciated by them.
They noted that the custodial staff did an excellent job and requested that a letter be sent from the club commending their help.
Students that wish to receive community service hours should contact them.
The following suggestions were added:
The members present agreed to present 4 scholarships for $250 each (2 for band, 2 for orchestra).
The members discussed disbursement of IMPC funds. Last year band and orchestra each received $1,100. This year the band received $3,500 from the club for jackets.
The following motion was made and seconded: The IMPC will donate $1,200 to the orchestra for the purchase of new instruments and $400 to the band for the purchase of new music. The motion was approved.
It was suggested that the club pursue another fundraiser with Iron Hill Brewery.
Joan Kindsfather and Janet Khanlian presented the slate of officers for the 2011-12 school year. Several positions were filled at the meeting.

The chairs thanked everyone for their help throughout the year and encouraged those present to volunteer for the coming year. They noted how important it is to the School Administration and the Community that parents demonstrate their commitment to music programs in the Moorestown Schools.
