Danielle Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.
The minutes from the Janaury 2012 meeting were accepted with no changes.
Steve Fink reported that the current balance is just over $9,000. The Cafe Night proceeds were:
$2139 ticket sales
$795 silent auction
$221 additional donations
There were expenses of $288 for decorations and paper goods
A thank you note is needed for Aimee Hayding who made and donated the program/ad booklets.
Shari Hyder reported that membership is stable.
Chris Norris reported that there will be 35 eighth graders participating in the Pops concert on March 15. He will sent the students a thank you note and possibly a CD of the concert for their participation.
An amplifier has been repaired recently but more repairs are needed and funding was requested.
Cafe Night went very well. February was a good time of year for Cafe Night.
Student scheduling conflicts were discussed. Jazz band may be restructured to fit into the school day.
Iron Hill Brewery fundraiser in December raised $187.
The sugar bowls need to be found by contacting last year's board members.
The band room closet was cleaned after Cafe Night.
The Cafe Night committee leaders have given reports to Danielle Thomas who will assemble booklet to help next year's board and membership with the event.
Band Pops concert food donations needed. Several members immediately volunteered and so it was decided an additional email was not needed. Sue Dowiak volunteered to continue to be the contact for ordering pretzels next year.
Orchestra concert April 3; Sue Dowiak volunteered to help Danielle Thomas set up refreshments.
Iron Hill Brewery Fundraiser #2 was set for April 18. Shari Hyder volunteered to speak about the fundraiser at the band concert.
Senior plaques for this year were discussed. Steve Fink will make arrangements using Townline Trophies.
Teacher's discretionary fund. Steve Fink reviewed finances:
$4600 – balance beginning of the year
$9000 – current balance
Money to be spent this year:
$1000 student scholarships
$ 600 plaques
$ small amount for concert expenses – sheet cake
It was decided that each teacher would receive $1200.
New Officer slate will be discussed at the May meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
