Instrumental Music Parents Club Minutes
January 9, 2012
​MHS at 7:30 P.M.
In Attendance:
Angela Johnson, Denise Mahoney, Nancy Matthews, Danielle Thomas, Shari Hyder, Steve Fink, Christopher Norris, Annette Burke, Nancy Morrow, Aimee Haydinger, Nancy Novak, Susan Dowiak, T.J. Heeneke, Michael Novak, Jim Rushmore, Colleen Rushmore, Tami Latino, Kristen Lee

Danielle Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Minutes
The minutes from the November 2011 meeting were accepted with no changes.

Treasurer's Report:

Steve Fink reported that the current balance is $4,493, with one outstanding check for $42.57. The amount of money raised by the Iron Hill fundraiser has not yet been determined by Iron Hill.

Membership Report
Shari Hyder reported there are 51 members of IMPC.

Faculty Reports
Annette Burke reported that All South Jersey Orchestra was this weekend with 30 students participating. She requested feedback about the joint band/orchestra concert in December. Several members had positive comments. Especially positive for the students was the full audience.

Chris Norris thanked all present for band refreshments. All South Jersey band will be on January 15th. On January 30th the students participating in Honors Band* will be announced.

Old Business
Iron Hill Brewery fundraiser:
Iron Hill has not sent report of our earnings yet.

Cafe Night fundraiser, February 24, 2012
Volunteers for each committee asked questions or reported progress as follows:

Publicity and advertising: Nancy Matthews
Number of tickets sold (151) and prices were clarified ($18 adults, $15 students and seniors)
A poster examples was passed for review

Program/Ad book – Aimee Haydinger
250 letters have been sent to businesses. Four checks have been received with the promise of 10 more. A letter to the parents about the ad book will go out soon. Aimee got a list of those present for emails.

Student Volunteers – organized by Ms. Burke and Mr. Norris
10-15 needed. Student performers will be used.

Director's Assistant – Carol Ann Murray

Photography – Mr. Hyzer or HS Photo Club named as possibilities

Ticket sales – Sue Dowiak
It was clarified that prices of tickets are not different at door.

Food Donations – Nancy Morrow

Kitchen – Shari Hyder
It was noted that bins for ice are needed. Paper goods will be purchased by decorating committee.

Set up/break down – Steve Fink

Silent Auction – Danielle Thomas
Danielle will email parents soon requesting items.

Master of Ceremony – Mark Morgan

Decorations – Nancy Matthews, Angela Johnson, and Susan LaGatta
Committee will inventory closet to find supplies

Coffee – Denise Mahoney
Nancy Matthews will supply urns.

New Business
Band Pops concert is March 15. Food will be requested by email from parents for reception.

Spring Iron Hill Brewery Fundraiser dates discussed. The week after Spring Break, preferrably Thursday April 19 is a possibility.

The meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.
